An avid sewer from the time she was 12 years old, Alison took her sewing machine to college with her simply as a way to earn extra cash. Although she started out with an eye on an art degree, she quickly realized that creating 'wearable art' was her passion. Alison graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Clothing and Textiles in 1987 and began designing Children's clothing, incorperating vintage textiles into them. By 1997 her love of these fine old gowns, laces and trims led her into the bridal world, where she has been happy to stay.
